Websites which are addons do not have their own cpanel. Everything for these websites can be done in the cpanel for the main website, including setting up emails, databases, viewing webs stats, etc. They are convenient for web masters in charge of a group of websites, or web designers whose clients don't want to deal with control panels etc. Web designers could consider a Reseller account with us to give separate control to their clients.

The big advantage of addons over separate websites is that they can all share the resources of the main account, e.g. disk space, monthly traffic, number of databases. If some need more and some need less bandwidth, then as long as together they are within the total quota, then they suffer no excesses.
